[AMS-01, AMS-10] Connectivity issues in part of our network [Update]

Dear Fiberring customer,

Earlier today, between 13:30 - 13:45 you might have experienced connectivity issues.

One of our core routers experienced high CPU utilisation that resulted in dropped OSPF adjacencies.

Our engineers are currently working in order to identify the root cause of the issue.

 [UPDATE 22nd November 15:00 CET]

Currently everything is fully operational and we are monitoring the environment closely.

If you do still experience problems please let us know through the regular support channels.

 [UPDATE 23rd November 11:30 CET]

The root cause was a configuration change on one of the edge device that was meant to stabilise the routing table and reduce BGP churn.

The command made the routing process to re-process all the routing information, which caused OSPF hello packets to be processed with delay.

That resulted into loosing OSPF adjacencies to edge device.

The environment was monitored closely and since yesterday it is stable and fully operational.

If you do still experience problems please let us know through the regular support channels.

Sincerely, FiberRing http://noc.fiberring.net Data center naming system is explained here: http://www.fiberring.com/en/our-network
